Issue 14 Out Now!

12/30/2022

Surprise! Our 14th Issue of Mindful Melody is out now!

As we say goodbye to 2022, we look back at some of the highlights from our trip to The Long Road Festival in August, which includes a couple of in-depth interviews with country stars The Cadillac Three and LOCASH.

Our cover star is Kel Adore, a pop prodigy with a killer voice, and who discusses a variety of topics with David, from the key lessons she's learnt as she's transitioned into adulthood, to the role that acceptance has played in her mental health journey.

In addition to this, Maxim speaks to Wyoming's country trailblazer, Ian Munsick, about the process behind his recent singles, the importance of faith to his wellbeing, and the powerful escapism that his music facilitates.

Also in this issue, David delves into the recent trend of artists cancelling shows for their mental health, and offers up a solution that could help protect the artists while still keeping label execs happy. Maxim reviews Larry Fleet's Live Sessions Vol. 1, while David celebrates Megan Thee Stallion's new website dedicated to improving fans' mental health. We're also delighted to feature a special guest post from Scarlet River PR founder, Rachel Sellick, which includes an Artist Spotlight of UK singer-songwriter, Olivia Lynn.

Our mission is to showcase great music that we feel can help listeners to improve their wellbeing, whether through the lyrics, the music alone, or through the artist's personal story - the artists, articles and playlists in this edition epitomise this.

We want Mindful Melody to be as helpful as possible to as many people as possible, so we have made all our articles available to read for free online. But we really appreciate anyone who supports us by getting a print edition as well, which will be available to purchase in the coming weeks!

As always, we want to say a big, big thank you to our long-time sponsors, Scarlet River PR, for their continued support! It goes without saying that Mindful Melody wouldn't be what it is today without Rachel and the amazing team there. And, last but not least, we want to thank YOU for coming along for the ride and supporting us on this journey. We get so much enjoyment from putting these magazines together and we hope they bring as much joy to you as they do to us!

Our 13th Issue of Mindful Melody is out now - and it's a live music special!

Now that live music is back in full swing we really wanted to dedicate this issue to all of the things we love about going to concerts, gigs, festivals and events! Maxim gives an account of his American adventure, venturing all the way to Lake Tahoe to enjoy a Kenny Chesney performance; David considers how live music has changed over the years and whether the ways of new or old are better as well as a look into the ways that two years of absence has made our hearts grow fonder! We also have a top ten of songs that would be amazing to experience live!

Our cover star is Tiera Kennedy, a rising Country/R&B star who Maxim describes as 'making love songs cool again'. She discussed her unique sound, obsession with the UK and exciting plans for new music. We also feature talented vocalist Kezia Gill, with whom David discussed the nature and nurture debate, song-writing, music influences and her anthemic bluesy style.

Alongside this is a review of Quadeca's 'I Don't Care', David's piece about the Christian belief that God has a wider plan and a guest article written by Pooja Gudka about 3 key lifestyle habits we can incorporate to improve our mental health.

We aim to showcase great music that we feel can help listeners to improve their wellbeing, whether through the lyrics, the music alone, or through the artist's personal story - the artists, articles and playlists in this edition epitomise this. Just as we prefer the experience of listening to CDs and Vinyls rather than streaming music, we believe that there's nothing quite like reading the physical edition of our magazine. For now, Issue 13 is exclusively available in print, so make sure to pick up your copy at:

www.newsstand.co.uk/mindful-melody/

We want Mindful Melody to be as helpful as possible to as many people as possible, so we will eventually make all the articles available to read for free online - but we really appreciate anyone who supports our mission by getting a print edition!

As always, we want to say a big, big thank you to our long-time sponsors, Scarlet River PR, for their continued support! Our 12th Issue of Mindful Melody is out now - and it's a special one!

Our cover star is Country's new pioneering and genre-defying star, Breland - we spoke to him about what to expect from his upcoming debut album, his objective of creating an entirely new sub-genre and the stigma surrounding men's mental health. Issue 12 also features in-depth interviews with UK pop prodigy and mental health advocate Denis Coleman, as well as Drake White, the Country singer-songwriter whose world was turned upside down when he suffered a stroke on stage in 2019.

Welcome to Issue 6 of Mindful Melody!

Read it and download it above! If you have any issues reading the magazine in this format, you can also read it here - https://pub.lucidpress.com/mindfulmelodyissue6/

You can now buy print editions of Issue 6 here - https://www.newsstand.co.uk/12-music-and-playing-magazines/30574-subscribe-to-mindful-melody-magazine-subscription.aspx

For Issue 6 of Mindful Melody Magazine, we decided to explore the idea of Slow Down and Simplify - a theme that often runs through country music, and something that we could all apply to our busy lives.

The global shutdowns and lockdowns have forced us to press pause, and that’s given us the space to take stock and reshuffle our priorities. Now that everything is opening up again in the UK and US, it would be so easy and tempting to fall back into that stressful, pre-pandemic rhythm of living life in fast-forward. That’s why we feel it’s more important than ever to Slow Down and Simplify - to give us an appreciation for all of the basic pleasures in life, to take some time for ourselves and to keep our minds healthy.

We’ve got exciting interviews with Seafret, Canaan Smith, Delaney Royer, Morgan Wade and Emma Moore, as well as some great articles, playlists and reviews that will all help you to Slow Down and Simplify your life.
